Description
The Aquarium Plant Set 60 Litre Green Medium No. 08 has been put together for planted aquariums with varied structure and contrasting colours. The set includes Rotala indica, Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Hygrophila lancea "Araguaia", Limnophila sessiliflora, Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini', Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" and Alternanthera reineckii "Kleines Papageienblatt". The combination of finely feathered stem plants, compact foreground plants and striking colour accents creates a harmonious and lively overall appearance in the aquarium. The reddish shoots of Alternanthera reineckii "Kleines Papageienblatt" and Hygrophila lancea "Araguaia" in particular create attractive contrasts with the green plants.
This set is intended for aquarists who already have some experience. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters. The fast-growing species Rotala indica, Limnophila sessiliflora and Hygrophila lancea "Araguaia" help establish biological balance.
Rotala indica develops fine, densely arranged leaves and, under good lighting, forms decorative reddish to orange-coloured shoot tips. This stem plant grows quickly and is ideal for the midground to background. Regular trimming keeps it compact and bushy.
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis is a low-growing foreground plant with grass-like leaves. Over time, it forms dense carpets and creates a natural meadow-like character in the aquarium. The plant prefers good lighting and benefits from CO2 supplementation.
Hygrophila lancea "Araguaia" is characterised by narrow leaves with brownish-red colouration. The plant grows compactly and develops particularly intense colours under good lighting. It is ideal as a structure-forming accent in the midground.
Limnophila sessiliflora is one of the classic fast-growing stem plants for aquariums. Its finely feathered leaves give the layout a soft and natural appearance. Thanks to its fast growth, the plant helps consume nutrients and supports the stabilisation of new aquariums.
Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' is a compact variety of the popular cardinal plant with small, rounded leaves. It grows slowly to moderately and forms dense groups in the foreground or midground. This robust plant is also suitable for detailed aquascapes.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is a slow-growing epiphytic plant with decorative dark green leaves. It is preferably attached to roots or stones, where it develops compact cushions. The plant requires little care and is ideal for shadier areas in the aquarium.
Alternanthera reineckii "Kleines Papageienblatt" creates strong colour contrasts in the aquarium with its intense red leaves. The plant grows compactly and is particularly suitable for the midground. With sufficient lighting and a good nutrient supply, it develops its strong colouration particularly intensively. The result is a varied planted aquarium with different leaf structures, natural transitions and colourful accents.
