Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Algae Control - Green - Easy - No. 01 is a targeted selection of 6 potted plants and moss balls to create a well-balanced planted 60-liter aquarium with natural algae control. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Cardamine lyrata, Staurogyne repens, Heteranthera zosterifolia, Limnophila sessiliflora and Hygrophila polysperma as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The plants complement each other to form a harmonious, fresh green layout with dense planting in the foreground, midground and background. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and at the same time promote the biological balance.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a small-growing, lawn-forming dwarf sword plant from tropical Central and South America. It forms dense, light green carpets and is ideally suited for the foreground. Thanks to its fast growth it helps bind excess nutrients and thus prevent algae.
Cardamine lyrata, the Japanese cress, develops rounded leaves on creeping stems and thrives even under lower lighting. It grows quickly and contributes to algae reduction through its high nutrient uptake. Its fresh green sets lively accents in the midground.
Staurogyne repens is a robust, low-growing plant for the midground to foreground. It is easy to trim and thus forms compact cushions. Its dense leaves offer valuable habitat for microorganisms and juvenile shrimp.
Heteranthera zosterifolia forms long, light green stems with many side shoots, quickly creating bushy plant groups. Under good light conditions it grows very quickly and serves as an effective nutrient consumer. The plant provides depth and dynamism in the background.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a finely feathered, fast-growing background plant from Asia. It grows in soft to hard water and brings movement with its delicate shoots. Thanks to its high metabolism it binds a lot of nutrients and thus actively supports algae control.
Hygrophila polysperma is considered one of the most undemanding aquarium plants of all. It keeps growing steadily even under low light, making it ideal for beginners. Its adaptability makes it a reliable competitor against algae.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is an easy-care, natural-looking layout that combines stability and vitality.
