So-called filter guards serve as intake protection on the water inlet of aquarium filters, protecting small animals such as fish, snails and shrimp. The offspring of these aquarium animals in particular are often so small that they can be sucked into an unprotected filter inflow and may even die in the filter. To prevent this, a suitable filter guard is slipped over the intake pipe. Aquasabi Filter Guards are fine-mesh protective screens made of stainless steel that do not clog quickly and reliably protect the small animals in your aquarium. Here you can buy various sizes to fit common Lily Pipe sizes such as 13 or 17 mm diameter. Aquasabi even has a specially designed intake guard for the lower part of a glass skimmer.
