The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Cryptocoryne beckettii, Cardamine lyrata, Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma, Ludwigia "Rubin" and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The combination of green and red plants creates lively contrasts and a naturally harmonious appearance in the aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a small, lawn-forming sword plant that forms dense carpets in the foreground. Its light green leaves create a fresh, natural look. Thanks to its fast growth, it stabilizes the biological balance and inhibits the development of algae.
Cryptocoryne beckettii has strong green to brown leaves and forms dense rosettes that are well suited for the midground. This species is extremely robust and also copes with low lighting. It grows slowly, stays compact and is ideal for calm, natural layouts.
Cardamine lyrata originates from East Asia and grows with delicate, roundish leaves on long, creeping stems. It thrives quickly and is ideal for filling empty areas between other plants. With its fresh, light green foliage, it creates lively contrasts in the midground and a natural dynamic in the aquarium.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing stem plant known for its fine-leaved, light green shoots. It grows very rapidly, absorbs excess nutrients and thus effectively prevents algae. Under medium light, it develops its full volume and creates a soft background.
Hygrophila polysperma is one of the most undemanding aquarium plants of all. It thrives in almost all water conditions and grows reliably even without CO2 supplementation. With its slightly reddish shimmering shoots, it brings color and dynamism to the planted look.
Ludwigia "Rubin" is characterized by its intense ruby-red leaves, which glow particularly brightly under good lighting. It grows at a moderate rate and forms strong stems that give the layout structure. This species is ideal for setting targeted color accents in the midground to background.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" shows strong red tones even under medium lighting and forms compact, dense groups. It responds well to regular trimming and then branches heavily, resulting in dense, even growth. With its bright color, it creates a striking focal point in the aquarium. The result is a harmoniously structured, easy-to-care-for aquascape with a rich play of colors and vigorous plant growth that reliably contributes to a stable biological balance.
