Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 12 was put together to create a harmonious, easy-to-care-for underwater biotope. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt", Cryptocoryne beckettii, Limnophila sessiliflora, Rotala rotundifolia and Hemianthus glomeratus. The coordinated combination of foreground, midground and background plants creates a natural sense of depth and a harmonious overall picture in the aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a low-growing dwarf sword plant from Central and South America. It forms light green, lanceolate leaves and, through numerous runners, quickly grows together into a dense lawn-like carpet. The species is robust, easy to care for and ideal as a carpeting plant for the foreground.
Hygrophila corymbosa "Kompakt" is a compact variety of hygrophila with short internodes and dense growth. It reaches a height of about 6 – 10 cm, is easy to propagate from cuttings and grows reliably even under medium lighting. Its rich green leaves create structure and form a fresh accent in the midground.
Cryptocoryne beckettii originates from Sri Lanka and is characterized by strong green to brownish leaves arranged in a stable rosette. It grows slowly, is extremely adaptable and thrives under a wide range of lighting conditions. With its subtle coloration, it provides depth and a natural transition in the midground.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fine-leaved, fast-growing stem plant from Southeast Asia. It thrives under both low and strong lighting and, with its light green foliage, contributes to a lively, airy appearance. Thanks to its fast growth, it helps stabilize the biological balance in the aquarium.
Rotala rotundifolia is one of the best-known aquarium plants and impresses with its variable play of colors from green to red. It is robust, adaptable and grows evenly upright, bringing structure to the background. Under good lighting, the shoot tips show an intense red that forms an appealing contrast to the green plants.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a dainty stem plant from Florida with small, light green, slightly curved leaves. It grows densely branched, can also grow creeping under strong light and is suitable for midground to background areas. Its fine foliage gives the aquarium a fresh, delicate touch and underlines the depth of the layout. The result is a balanced, lively planted aquarium with soft shades of green, a clear structure and a natural sense of depth.
