Description

The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 08 contains a harmonious selection of robust, easy-care species. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai', Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens", Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Rotala rotundifolia and Heteranthera zosterifolia as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The combination allows a complete planting structure with natural transitions. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration.

This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO₂, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.

Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' is a compact selection of the dwarf Anubias, also known as 'Mini Mini'. Under the same conditions its ovate leaves stay particularly small at about 18 mm long and 10 mm wide. This miniature Anubias shares the robustness and undemanding nature of its larger parent form and is ideal for designing nano aquariums or as an accent in the hardscape of larger tanks.

Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens" is a robust and easy-care aquatic plant with narrow, lanceolate, medium green leaves. It forms dense bushes or a taller, lawn-like stand and thus grows into an attractive eye-catcher in the midground. This variety differs from other willisii forms in its more elongated leaves and overall more vigorous growth.

Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" is an easy-to-cultivate variety with brown, lanceolate leaves with wavy edges. Underwater it shows a characteristic coloration and resembles Cryptocoryne undulata in shape. Its adaptability makes it a popular midground plant that thrives reliably even under low lighting.

Rotala rotundifolia is a classic stem plant that is ideally suited for aquascaping. In the aquarium it forms narrow, elongated submersed leaves that are colored light green to reddish depending on the light intensity. This widespread species impresses with its robustness and fast growth.

Heteranthera zosterifolia, the stargrass, is a fast-growing stem plant from South America with light green leaves. It develops numerous side shoots and forms bushy, dense plant groups when sufficient macro- and micronutrients are available. Under strong lighting, small, delicate blue flowers often appear on the shoots, bringing the aquarium to life in a natural way.

The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. It adds natural accents and visually rounds off the planting.
