Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 06 was put together especially to make colorful yet easy-to-care-for planting possible for larger aquariums. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai', Microsorum pteropus 'Trident', Staurogyne repens, Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty', Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila corymbosa and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The set combines robust and vigorously growing species that promote a harmonious balance and create a lively play of colors from rich green to intense red.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' is a particularly small variety of the dwarf anubias, also known as 'Mini Mini'. Its ovate leaves reach a length of only about 1–2 cm. It is robust, grows slowly and thrives even in low light without CO2 supplementation.
Microsorum pteropus 'Trident' originates from the island of Borneo and captivates with its pinnately lobed, narrow leaves with several lobes on each side. The plant forms dense bushes and grows best on roots or stones. It also tolerates low lighting and does not require any special care.
Staurogyne repens is a light green, compact foreground to midground plant from Brazil. It grows bushy, is easy to shape by trimming and is ideal for greening the gaps between stones. With medium light and regular fertilization, it forms dense cushions and contributes to the stability of the aquarium environment.
Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty' is characterized by its red-spotted, elliptical leaves. It usually stays below 15 cm in height and grows slowly with a good nutrient supply. Strong lighting intensifies the reddish coloration, making it a focal point in the midground.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fine-leaved, light green stem plant from Asia that grows particularly quickly and is easy to care for. It tolerates different levels of water hardness and its delicate shoots add lightness to the layout. Under strong light, it shows slightly reddish tips and provides a natural contrast to broad-leaved plants.
Hygrophila corymbosa, the broad-leaved giant hygrophila, originates from Southeast Asia and impresses with large, strong stems. It is undemanding, grows even in harder water and quickly forms dense bushes. In open-top tanks, it can continue to grow emersed and produces pale violet flowers there.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is an intensely red stem plant that takes on bright colors even in medium light. It branches well, grows quickly and, with its fine red leaves, provides strong color accents. Planted in groups, it looks particularly harmonious and forms an elegant contrast to green species. The result is a colorful and harmonious plant layout.
