Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Algae Control - Colorful - Easy - No. 04 was put together especially to make a balanced and easy-to-care-for planting possible for medium-sized aquariums. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Staurogyne repens, Cardamine lyrata, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Limnophila sessiliflora, Ludwigia "Rubin" and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The set combines robust, fast-growing species that effectively prevent algae and create a harmonious play of colors from light green to deep red.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a robust dwarf sword plant from Central and South America that forms dense, light green lawns. It grows via runners and is ideally suited for the foreground. With medium lighting and an adequate supply of nutrients, it thrives quickly and provides fresh green in the aquarium.
Staurogyne repens originates from Brazil and is a compact, vigorous foreground plant with light green leaves. It can be used both as a carpeting plant and as a small bush. Regular trimming keeps it compact and encourages bushy growth.
Cardamine lyrata, the Japanese cress, forms long, creeping stems with round leaves. It prefers cooler temperatures between 18 and 23 °C and is particularly well suited for nature-style layouts. Its loose, trailing growth brings a natural impression to the midground.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is an undemanding, fast-growing stem plant with white to pink leaf veins. It thrives even in harder water and tolerates a wide variety of conditions. Hard trimming ensures a compact shape and denser growth.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a classic among aquarium plants with finely pinnate, light green leaves. It grows quickly, is easy to care for and is particularly suitable for new tanks. Under good lighting, it shows reddish shoot tips and offers a lively contrast to darker plants.
Ludwigia "Rubin" is one of the most richly colored aquarium plants and brings strong wine-red hues to the aquarium. It is easy to care for, grows quickly and has only modest requirements. Under stronger light, it develops particularly bright colors and sets striking accents in the midground and background.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is a small-leaved, fast-growing stem plant with intense red coloration. It branches well, forms dense groups and grows reliably even under medium lighting. Its bright red leaves form an impressive contrast to green plant species.
