Description
Catappa leaves are added to aquarium water because of the healing effect they have on fish and shrimps. Catappa-X is the effective, fluid variant of the leaves.
The leaves of the Catappa tree release healing substances when they are immersed in water. The disadvantage of doing so is that, in time, they decompose, which results in the release of organic compounds. This has a number of unpleasant side effects: it turns the water brown and the released organic compounds contaminate the water.
Catappa-X is the answer to these problems. It does not discolour nor contaminate the water and it lowers the bacterial count, which greatly reduces the chance of disease. Catappa-X allows fish and shrimps to flourish and have more vibrant colours.

Catappa-X benutze ich seit Jahren & gehört zu meinen Standard-Mittelchen ...
gebe ich in halber Dosierung nach jedem Wasserwechsel dazu, die Fische scheinen es zu mögen, sind alle topfit, farbenfroh & ich habe so gut wie nie Ausfälle oder Krankheiten ...
dient als guter Ersatz zu den Blättern, die man nach einiger Zeit zersetzt dann aus dem Becken ziehen muss ...
kann ich empfehlen & habe mit Catappa-X seit Jahren sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht ...

Hilfreiche Alternative
Ich habe bis jetzt im 180 l Aquarium große Seemandelbaumblätter genutzt. Leider fand sich nicht immer eine freie Stelle in dem recht stark bepflanzten Aquarium. Als ich zudem während meines Algenkampfs sowohl die möglichen Besiedlungsflächen, als auch die möglichen Ursachen für die Wasserbelastung eliminieren wollte (zu alte Blätter), suchte ich nach solchen Mittelchen.
Catappa-X lässt sich gut dosieren (Messbecher bei den großen, oder Tropfverschluss bei der kleinen Flasche), färbt das Wasser nicht, und den Fischen geht es weiterhin prächtig. Für meine Aquarien ohne große Zahl an Aufwuchsfressern hat CX einen festen Platz im Schrank. Meine Garnelen dürfen sich hingegen weiterhin über Catappablätter und Erlenzapfen freuen. Bei beiden Methoden wird bei mir der pH-Wert in gleicher Weise ganz leicht in Richtung sauer verschoben (um knapp 0,3) und bleibt konstant (allerdings habe ich keine Ahnung, ob es allein an den Huminstoffen liegt).
Yes, my fish now have much stronger colors and are healthy. The product doesn't color the water. So buying it was the right call.
