Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Green - Medium - No. 05 combines easy-care species for a fresh, lush green layout. The set includes Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") – pot, Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') – pot, Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" – pot, Cryptocoryne beckettii "Petchii" – pot, Limnophila sessiliflora – pot, Rotala rotundifolia – pot as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and add natural accents to the layout.
This set is aimed at hobbyists who already have some experience in aquarium keeping. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3x/week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") is a popular carpeting plant that forms dense, rich green carpets. It grows compactly in medium light, prefers a nutrient-rich environment and is ideal as a foreground plant.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small-growing form of the dwarf Anubias with ovate leaves only about 1 cm long. It grows extremely slowly, needs hardly any light and is therefore exceptionally easy to care for. It looks particularly decorative in the foreground or tied onto hardscape.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" originates from Borneo, where it grows as a rheophyte on stones in the flood zone. The plant stays compact, forms rich green leaves and grows very steadily even in low light. Thanks to its slow growth and good adhesion it is ideally suited for the midground on roots or rock.
Cryptocoryne beckettii "Petchii" is a classic rosette plant from Sri Lanka. Its narrow, red-brown leaves with slightly wavy edges bring structure and contrast to the midground. It tolerates both soft and hard water, grows reliably even in low light and stays compact.
Limnophila sessiliflora is one of the fast-growing classics and impresses with its finely feathered, light green stems. The plant grows vigorously in soft to hard water and is particularly recommended for newly set-up aquariums. It helps bind nutrients and creates a harmonious background with its bushy growth.
Rotala rotundifolia is a versatile stem plant from tropical and subtropical Asia. Underwater it forms narrow, elongated leaves and responds to light intensity with vigorous new growth. It grows quickly, is easy to shape by trimming and adds fine, structured accents to the background.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a balanced, lush green layout with clear depth staging that is easy to maintain and can be designed in many ways.
