The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Colorful - Medium - No. 04 offers a balanced combination of colorful and robust aquatic plants. The set includes Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Hydrocotyle tripartita, Anubias barteri var. nana, Staurogyne repens, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and give the tank a natural accent. The combination of foreground, midground and background plants creates a harmonious, structured underwater landscape.
This set is aimed at hobbyists who already have some experience in aquarium keeping. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilization 2-3 × per week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, also called New Zealand grass, originates from southern South America and forms a dense, lawn-like carpet in the foreground under good lighting. It is an adaptable carpeting plant that is best planted in small groups with some space between them. Thanks to its robustness it is even suitable for slightly brackish water.
Hydrocotyle tripartita is a delicate, three-lobed pennywort from Australia that looks particularly decorative with its light green leaves lobed like a cloverleaf. With strong lighting and added CO2 it grows very quickly, creeping across the ground, but it can also be kept in medium light. Regular trimming keeps it compact and prevents it from overgrowing other plants.
Anubias barteri var. nana is a small, extremely robust epiphyte from Cameroon. It grows slowly, clings to stones or roots with its roots and also copes well with low lighting. The rhizome must not be buried in the substrate, as it could otherwise rot.
Staurogyne repens originates from Brazil and forms dense, light green cushions that are ideal for the foreground or midground. It is easy to trim, grows compactly and gives the aquarium structure. With sufficient light and nutrients it develops sturdy, rich green leaves.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is a fast-growing stem plant with characteristic white to pink leaf veins. It tolerates hard water, thrives even without CO2 and is ideal for midground to background areas. Strong lighting intensifies the pink coloration, while regular trimming ensures bushy growth.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" impresses with its bright red coloration even under medium lighting and quickly grows into dense groups. The fine stems and small leaves bring strong color accents to the aquarium. Regular nutrient fertilization and occasional trimming promote the intense red coloration and healthy growth.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. It adds a natural accent and contributes to the biological balance in the tank. The result is a harmonious and colorful aquascape that combines vibrancy and structure.
