Description
The Aquarium Plant Set 120 Litres Colourful Medium No. 05 combines a diverse selection of aquatic plants with different growth forms and leaf colours to create a vibrant aquascape in medium-sized aquariums. The set includes Bolbitis heudelotii, Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Bucephalandra sp. "Kedagang", Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens", Rotala rotundifolia "Green", Bacopa salzmannii "Purple" and Aegagropila linnaei. The various shades of green together with the purple accents of Bacopa salzmannii "Purple" create a colourful and natural-looking layout with depth and structure. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration and add further natural accents to the aquarium.
This set is aimed at aquarists who already have some experience in fishkeeping and planted aquariums. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Bolbitis heudelotii is a decorative Congo fern with deep green, finely feathered leaves that is ideally attached to wood or stones. The plant grows slowly to moderately fast and develops impressive leaf structures over time. It is particularly suitable for the midground to background and gives the aquarium a natural forest-like appearance.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' forms a dense, grass-like carpet in the foreground of the aquarium. The fine blades remain compact and create a natural meadow effect within the layout. With good lighting and stable CO2 supply, the plant spreads quickly via runners.
Bucephalandra sp. "Kedagang" is a slow-growing epiphytic plant with attractive, slightly wavy leaves. Depending on the light intensity, it displays shimmering shades ranging from green to slightly bluish tones. This hardy plant is ideal for attaching to hardscape and adds elegant details to the layout.
Cryptocoryne x willisii "lucens" develops narrow, elongated leaves and remains compact in growth. It is perfectly suited for the midground and gradually forms dense groups. The plant is considered robust and adaptable and copes well even with changing conditions.
Rotala rotundifolia "Green" is a fast-growing stem plant with fresh green, delicate leaves. Regular trimming encourages dense and bushy growth. The plant adds lightness to the background and is ideal for structuring larger aquariums.
Bacopa salzmannii "Purple" creates striking colour accents in the aquarium with its violet to pink-coloured stems. Under strong lighting, this stem plant develops particularly intense colours and provides exciting contrasts to green plants. It is ideal as an eye-catching feature in the midground or background.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be freely placed within the aquarium. It has a velvety surface, contributes to a natural appearance and is often used by shrimp and small fish as shelter. The result is a harmoniously coordinated plant set with varied shapes, colours and structures for a lively aquascape.
