Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Algae Control - Colorful - No. 04 was developed for aquarists who want a stable, algae-free and colorful planted aquarium. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Hemianthus glomeratus, Cardamine lyrata, Hygrophila corymbosa, Hygrophila polysperma, Ludwigia "Rubin" and Ludwigia palustris "Super Red". The carefully selected combination of green and reddish species ensures healthy plant growth, stable water parameters and natural color contrasts in the aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low to medium lighting, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust, easy to care for and actively contribute to nutrient uptake and thus to algae control.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a compact foreground plant with lanceolate, light green leaves. It forms dense carpets via runners and grows reliably even under simple conditions. Its vigorous growth helps remove excess nutrients from the water.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a dainty, light green stem plant that forms bushy cushions. It grows quickly, absorbs large amounts of nutrients and effectively contributes to reducing algae. Regular trimming promotes dense and compact growth.
Cardamine lyrata is the well-known Japanese cress with heart-shaped, delicate leaves. It grows creeping to upright and thrives particularly well under medium lighting. Thanks to its fast growth, it stabilizes the biological balance and prevents nutrient surpluses.
Hygrophila corymbosa is a vigorous, large-leaved background plant that impresses with its imposing growth form. It removes nitrate and phosphate from the water and thus promotes clear water quality. With regular trimming, a bushy, vigorous stand can be achieved.
Hygrophila polysperma is one of the most adaptable aquarium plants of all. It grows quickly, tolerates low lighting and reliably supports algae control. Its light green to slightly reddish leaves bring dynamism and a natural feel to any aquarium.
Ludwigia "Rubin" is an intensely red stem plant whose bright color sets beautiful accents in the midground to background. Under stronger light, it develops a strong ruby red. Its high-contrast appearance emphasizes the depth of the layout.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is a compact red plant with particularly intense coloration. It needs medium to strong lighting and benefits from CO2 supplementation, but also thrives under simpler conditions. Its striking color provides lively highlights and completes the harmonious overall picture of the plant set.
