Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Algae Control - Colorful - No. 03 was put together especially for colorful, algae-resistant layouts in 120-liter tanks. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Hemianthus glomeratus, Echinodorus 'Tricolor', Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" and Ludwigia "Rubin". The combination of fast-growing stem and rosette plants for the foreground, midground and background ensures healthy growth, stable water parameters and a lively overall picture.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a low-growing dwarf sword plant from Central and South America. It forms light green, lanceolate leaves and, through numerous runners, rapidly grows together into a dense lawn-like carpet. The species is robust, easy to care for and ideal as a carpeting plant for the foreground.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a fine, light green stem plant from Florida. It grows upright to slightly creeping and forms dense groups with elegantly curved leaves. Under good lighting, it shows compact growth and provides a natural transition between the foreground and midground.
Echinodorus 'Tricolor' is an attractive sword plant that stands out with its different leaf colors. Young leaves appear light green with brownish spots and later take on a darker color. It grows compactly, does not place high demands and is ideally suited as an accent plant in the midground.
Limnophila sessiliflora is one of the classic aquarium plants. It has fine, light green pinnate leaves and grows very quickly, even under medium lighting. Thanks to its dense, bushy growth, it offers ideal shelter for young fish and is particularly recommended for initial planting.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is an easy-to-keep, fast-growing stem plant. Its light green leaves show striking pink veins, especially under strong lighting. It is undemanding and well suited for the midground to background.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" impresses with intense red coloration even at medium light intensity. It grows upright, branches well and provides strong color contrasts in the layout.
Ludwigia "Rubin" develops a deep ruby red underwater. It grows vigorously, tolerates various water parameters and shows its full color intensity under medium to strong lighting. An expressive plant that gives any layout depth and warmth. The result is a colorful, easy-to-care-for plant set that delivers quick results and, thanks to its balanced combination of healthy species, ensures permanently stable tank conditions.
