The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 08 is a carefully curated selection of robust aquatic plants for medium-sized to large aquariums. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' (Mini Mini), Microsorum pteropus "Trident", Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown", Acorus gramineus 'Pusillus', Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Bacopa caroliniana, Limnophila sessiliflora and Egeria najas. The combination of epiphytes, rosette plants and fast-growing stem plants ensures varied and harmonious planting. At the same time, the fast-growing species in particular support biological stability during the start-up phase of the aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' (Mini Mini) is an extremely compact form of the well-known dwarf anubias with very small, thick leaves. It grows slowly and is ideal for attaching to roots or stones in the foreground of small to medium-sized aquariums. Thanks to its dense, stocky growth, it is particularly popular for detailed aquascapes.
Microsorum pteropus "Trident" is a special variety of Java fern with finely branched leaf tips. The plant grows on hardscape such as roots or stones and develops decorative clumps over time. It is considered very easy to care for and is therefore also well suited for beginners.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" forms dense rosettes with brownish leaves. It grows slowly to moderately and is ideal for structured plant groups in the midground. The plant is very adaptable and thrives reliably even in lower light.
Acorus gramineus 'Pusillus' has narrow, grass-like leaves and creates fine structures in the aquarium. The plant forms loose tufts and looks particularly natural between stones or roots. It brings an interesting leaf texture to the design.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is a fast-growing stem plant with striking light leaf veins. It is ideally suited for the background and helps absorb excess nutrients in the aquarium. Thanks to its vigorous growth, it contributes to stabilizing the system.
Bacopa caroliniana has strong, roundish leaves and grows upright in dense groups. The plant forms stable stands of stems in the background and is easy to propagate from cuttings. It is considered very uncomplicated and is therefore also suitable for less experienced aquarists.
Limnophila sessiliflora develops fine-leaved, light green foliage and creates a loose, natural background structure. The plant grows very quickly and is particularly helpful during the start-up phase of an aquarium. It is easy to shape with regular trimming.
Egeria najas is a robust waterweed species with vigorous growth. The plant forms long stems with densely arranged leaves and is ideally suited for the background. Thanks to its fast growth, it supports the establishment of a stable biological balance in the aquarium.
