The Aquarium Plant Set 120 Litres Colourful Medium No. 03 has been assembled for colourful nature aquariums and harmonious aquascapes. The combination of different growth forms, leaf colours and structures creates a lively overall appearance with depth and contrast. The set includes Micranthemum tweediei "Montecarlo-3", Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Staurogyne repens, Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig', Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The plants complement each other in their growth behaviour and allow for a varied layout from the foreground to the background. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration.
This set is aimed at aquarists who already have some experience in aquatics. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2-3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters. The fast-growing species Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' and Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" help establish the biological balance.
Micranthemum tweediei "Montecarlo-3" forms a dense, fresh green carpet in the foreground of the aquarium. The small rounded leaves grow compactly and creep across the substrate. With sufficient lighting and CO2, the plant quickly develops closed cushions and creates a natural appearance.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" impresses with its robust characteristics and narrow green leaves. It is ideally suited for the midground and adapts well to different water parameters. The plant grows slowly to moderately and requires very little maintenance.
Staurogyne repens is a compact stem plant with strong green leaves and low growth. It is ideal for the foreground to midground and gradually forms dense groups. Regular trimming encourages bushy and compact growth.
Limnophila sessiliflora is one of the fast-growing background plants and develops finely feathered light green shoots. It helps consume excess nutrients and supports biological stability in the aquarium. Due to its rapid growth, it is especially suitable during the start-up phase.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' adds decorative colour accents to the aquarium with its pink-coloured leaf veins. Under strong lighting, intense contrasts between the green leaves and pink patterns develop. The plant grows quickly and can easily be propagated through cuttings.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" is a colourful stem plant with reddish to deep red shoots. Under good lighting and sufficient nutrient supply, it develops particularly intense colours. Regular trimming results in a dense and compact plant bush in the background.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. Its spherical structure creates natural accents and can also provide a surface for microorganisms. The result is a diversely planted aquarium with harmonious depth and colourful contrasts.
