Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 60 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 05 was specially designed to create a harmonious, easy-care layout in the green color spectrum. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Bucephalandra pygmaea "Bukit Kelam / Sintang", Acorus gramineus 'Pusillus', Hygrophila polysperma, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The balanced combination creates a natural overall look from foreground to background. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and also bring structure and life to the foreground.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" is a bright light green dwarf sword plant from South America that forms dense carpets through numerous runners. It reaches a height of about 10 to 13 cm and grows best in medium light with a regular nutrient supply. It is ideal for the foreground and creates a lively, fresh appearance.
Bucephalandra pygmaea "Bukit Kelam / Sintang" originates from West Kalimantan, where it grows in the wild on stream stones in tropical rainforests. It has broad, wavy, green to brownish-green leaves and forms upright, branched rhizomes. The plant is undemanding, grows slowly and is very easy to attach to wood or stones.
Acorus gramineus 'Pusillus', the dwarf sweet flag, is a grass-like plant from East Asia with narrow, linear leaves. It grows slowly and is well suited for the midground or as an epiphyte on stones and roots. Its rhizome must not be buried. It prefers medium lighting, good water movement and temperatures around 20 °C.
Hygrophila polysperma is a fast-growing, light green stem plant from tropical Asia that thrives even under simple conditions. It grows 25–40 cm tall, absorbs excess nutrients and helps prevent algae growth. Regular trimming promotes bushy growth.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is a striking variety with light leaf veins and pink tones that become more intense under strong lighting. It reaches a height of about 20–40 cm and grows quickly in medium to strong light. Its robust nature and attractive colors make it a highlight in the midground and background.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is a harmonious, easy-care plant set that quickly creates a beautiful, balanced aquarium scape.
