The Aquarium Plant Set 120 Litres Green Medium No. 10 is a balanced combination of various green and colourful aquatic plants for medium-sized aquariums. The included plants offer a wide variety of leaf shapes, different growth heights and interesting contrasts for a natural-looking layout. The set includes Bolbitis heudelotii, Pogostemon deccanensis ("erectus"), Hydrocotyle tripartita, Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Anubias barteri var. nana, Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' and Alternanthera reineckii "Kleines Papageienblatt". The combination of epiphytic plants, carpeting plants and stem plants allows the creation of a harmonious aquascape with foreground, midground and background areas.
This set is aimed at people who already have experience in aquatics. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2-3x/week. The plants benefit from regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Bolbitis heudelotii is a decorative Congo fern with finely pinnate dark green leaves that is preferably attached to wood or stones. The plant grows slowly to moderately fast and develops impressive bushy structures over time. It prefers more shaded areas in the aquarium and benefits from stable water parameters and good water flow.
Pogostemon deccanensis ("erectus") is characterised by its upright growth and needle-like light green leaves. The plant creates a striking vertical structure in the background of the aquarium and provides a natural contrast to broad-leaved species. With good lighting and sufficient nutrient supply, it grows compact and vigorous.
Hydrocotyle tripartita forms dense and lively cushions in the midground with its small clover-shaped leaves. The plant grows comparatively quickly and is ideal for branched layouts or greening hardscape. With sufficient lighting and CO2, it develops particularly compact growth.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' is a delicate carpeting plant with a grass-like appearance that forms dense lawns in the foreground. The plant is ideal for natural aquascapes and creates the impression of an underwater meadow. Good lighting conditions and a stable CO2 supply are recommended for low and compact growth.
Anubias barteri var. nana is an extremely robust epiphytic plant with dark green, sturdy leaves. It grows slowly and is particularly suitable for attaching to wood and stones in the midground. Due to its low demands, it is also very popular for permanently stable layouts.
Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' adds lively colour accents to the aquarium with its light green leaves and striking pink leaf veins. The plant grows quickly and helps absorb excess nutrients while supporting the biological balance. Under strong lighting, it develops particularly intense leaf patterns.
Alternanthera reineckii "Kleines Papageienblatt" creates strong contrasts between the green plants in the set with its reddish to purple leaves. The compact-growing stem plant is ideal for midground to background areas and provides colourful highlights. Good lighting and regular nutrient supply are important for intense colours and healthy growth. The result is a diversely planted aquarium with different shades of green, fine structures and targeted red accents that appears both natural and modern.
