Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 30 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 04 is a harmoniously matched combination for small aquariums with a fresh, green character. The set includes Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus", Microsorum pteropus 'Trident', Cryptocoryne x willisii "nevillii", Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' and Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The combination of carpeting, upright-growing and structuring species creates a balanced sense of depth in the aquarium. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and add natural, soft accents.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes. The fast-growing Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" supports the development of a stable biological balance.
Helanthium bolivianum "quadricostatus" forms a dense, bright light green lawn in the foreground and spreads quickly via runners. In the aquarium the narrow, grass-like leaves reach a height of about 10 to 13 cm and create a fresh, natural meadow look. It is robust, grows quickly and is ideally suited for initial planting.
Microsorum pteropus 'Trident' is a special form of Java fern with pinnately lobed, very narrow leaves. The plant grows slowly, is extremely easy to care for and is ideal for tying onto roots or stones in the midground. With its distinctive leaf shape it sets interesting structural accents.
Cryptocoryne x willisii "nevillii" forms a dense group of rosettes over time and can even grow like a lawn. Underwater its medium green leaves usually stay between 5 and 15 cm tall and occasionally show slightly brownish tones. It is undemanding, tolerates various water parameters and grows at a moderate pace.
Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' brings bright contrasts to the background area with its bright yellow-green foliage. With good lighting it shows its most intense coloration and develops upright, decorative shoots. It is also suitable for cooler aquariums and is uncomplicated to care for overall.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' grows bushier and more compactly than the classic Bacopa monnieri and can be kept in shape with regular trimming. The somewhat fleshy leaves sit on sturdy stems and form particularly dense growth under strong lighting. It is undemanding, copes without a CO2 supply and is versatile in the midground to background.
Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. It creates natural, spherical accents and contributes to a harmonious overall look.
