The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 08 was put together especially for the colorful design of larger aquariums. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green", Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green", Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty', Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma, Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" and Echinodorus 'Rosé'. This combination of green, red and pink species creates a lively appearance and is ideal for designing a visually varied aquarium.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small variety with very compact growth and firm, dark green leaves. It grows slowly and should be tied onto roots or stones, as the rhizome must not be planted in the substrate. Thanks to its robustness and decorative appearance, it is ideal for hardscape details in the midground.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is a slow-growing epiphyte from Borneo with narrow leaves that shimmer greenish to reddish. It prefers medium lighting and a constant nutrient supply and develops best on wood or rock. Its iridescent hues and silvery leaf dots give the aquarium an elegant, natural character.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green" is an adaptable rosette plant with rich green, wavy leaves. It grows reliably under low to medium lighting and forms dense, sturdy groups. Thanks to its robust character, it is ideally suited for the midground and gives the layout structure and depth.
Echinodorus 'Rainers Kitty' is a compact sword plant with strikingly reddish-spotted leaves. It usually reaches a height of 10–15 cm and develops its most intense colors under strong lighting and in a nutrient-rich substrate. With its striking play of colors, it forms a lively centerpiece in the midground of larger tanks.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a fast-growing, finely pinnate stem plant from Southeast Asia. It tolerates soft to hard water, grows even in low light and shows slightly reddish shoot tips under stronger lighting. Thanks to its rapid growth, it is ideal for the background and helps prevent algae by absorbing excess nutrients.
Hygrophila polysperma originates from tropical Asia and is one of the easiest aquarium plants to care for. It forms light green stems 25–40 cm tall and grows reliably even under simple conditions. Due to its fast growth, it contributes significantly to the biological balance. Regular trimming produces bushy groups.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is a richly colored stem plant that glows a strong red even under medium lighting. It branches well, grows quickly and is perfect for setting warm color accents in the midground and background. Regular trimming promotes dense growth and emphasizes its bright red coloration.
Echinodorus 'Rosé' is a classic hybrid variety with pink to reddish speckled submersed leaves. It grows compactly, is easy to care for and reaches a height of about 25–40 cm. Its soft tones harmonize wonderfully with green plants while adding an elegant, colorful accent to the midground. The result is a harmonious, colorful plant layout that combines stability, natural variety and visual depth.
