Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Colorful - Easy - No. 03 was developed to make a colorful, natural layout possible with robust and easy-care species. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Bucephalandra sp. "Biblis", Echinodorus 'Tricolor', Hygrophila corymbosa, Hygrophila difformis, Ludwigia "Rubin" as well as Aegagropila linnaei. This carefully curated selection provides varied growth heights, structures and colors, creating a harmonious overall look. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration and add an extra organic touch to the layout.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is an extremely compact form of the dwarf Anubias. Its small, rounded leaves stay very small even under optimal conditions, making it ideally suited for nano aquariums and delicate designs. It is slow-growing, exceptionally robust and copes well without added CO2.
Bucephalandra sp. "Biblis" is an attractive epiphyte with dark green to violet leaves that have a soft sheen. It grows best on roots or stones, where it forms compact groups. Medium light, a constant CO2 supply and regular nutrient dosing promote strong colors and healthy growth.
Echinodorus 'Tricolor' impresses with its yellow-green to slightly brownish-tinted leaves, which develop a special depth of color underwater. This easy-care sword plant forms a compact rosette and is ideal for the midground. Good substrate fertilization and medium lighting support its growth and color intensity.
Hygrophila corymbosa is a classic, large-leaved stem plant that grows quickly and is characterized by its adaptability. It forms dense, bushy shoots that stay particularly compact with regular trimming. Its fresh green provides a harmonious balance to colorful accents in the background of the aquarium.
Hygrophila difformis, also known as water wisteria, captivates with its finely feathered, light green foliage and fast growth. It is ideally suited for newly set-up aquariums, as it absorbs nutrients effectively and prevents algae growth. This plant is easy to care for and brings lightness and dynamism to the layout with its structure.
Ludwigia "Rubin" brings a strong color contrast to the aquarium with its intensely red leaves. It grows upright, forms sturdy stems and shows its full color intensity under good lighting. This species harmonizes wonderfully with green plants and provides vibrant color accents in the midground.
The moss ball Aegagropila linnaei serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The result is an easy-care, lively plant layout with a natural look and a harmonious overall structure.
