Algae in the aquarium are a tiresome topic. Faced with a real algae plague, many aquarists despair and come close to giving up their beloved hobby. However, there are many ways to combat algae (see also: "Algae in the Aquarium"). Sometimes using chemical algaecides really is the very last resort. Easy Life offers various products for different types of algae. While Blue Exit can work against blue-green algae, i.e. cyanobacteria, AlgExit is a suitable remedy for green algae as well as brush algae and beard algae. The liquid carbon source Easy Carbo can also be repurposed as a treatment, especially against red algae.

Please note: Chemical algae treatments should always be seen only as a last resort, since their use often also disturbs the ecological balance in the aquarium, and some invertebrates such as snails and shrimp may not tolerate them.
