Description
Lagenandra meeboldii is a very variable swamp plant from southwestern India. It occurs naturally on swampy streambanks where it is flooded during times of high water level. It can be grown permanently submerged in aquariums.
There are several forms of Meebold's Lagenandra with different leaf shapes and colorations. Lagenandra meeboldii 'Green' is a form with light to medium green leaves.
As aquarium plant, this Lagenandra prefers a nutrient-rich substrate and not too few light. It forms a thick, creeping rhizome with time that develops side shoots. The plant can be propagated by cutting off the daughter plants.
Lagenandra meeboldii 'Green' is well suited as a green, quite broad-leaved accent plant in the midground.
Lagenandra meeboldii, a marsh plant from southwestern India, is a rather variable species. Two variants, a red-leaved and a green-leaved one, have been cultivated for quite some time in botanical gardens and by some hobbyists. A third form, L. meeboldii 'Pink', grows very large and is known mainly in the USA.
Lagenandra meeboldii "Green" grows taller than L. meeboldii "Red" under the same conditions and has a narrower, lanceolate leaf shape. The leaves are medium green.
Like the red-leaved form, Lagenandra meeboldii "Green" has also proved suitable for aquariums. However, this plant also grows very large under water, forms long petioles and is probably best suited as a specimen plant in large tanks.

They take root poorly, despite CO2 and a fertilizer dosing system. I don't think I'd buy them again. But at least they haven't died yet :)

Hatte mehr erhofft
Wachsen nur schlecht an, trotz CO2 und Düngeanlage. Würde ich glaube nicht noch mal kaufen. Aber immerhin sind Sie noch nicht eingegangen :)
