Description
JBL ProFlora Mg Macroelements is a supplementary fertiliser for the targeted supply of magnesium in aquascaping aquariums. As the central atom in chlorophyll, magnesium plays a central role in photosynthesis and thus in the production of energy from light. It also regulates enzymatic processes and other metabolic processes in the plant cell. Many tap waters have strongly fluctuating magnesium contents, which can lead to deficits in the aquarium.
The fertiliser contains water-soluble magnesium salts that are directly available to the plants. This effectively prevents deficiency symptoms such as disturbed growth or pale leaves. The dosage depends on the light intensity, CO2 addition and the actual nutrient consumption. Regular monitoring with the JBL magnesium test for fresh water is recommended to ensure needs-based application.

The normal dosage is 5 ml / 100 l of water for a very well-lit tank with >= 1 W / l of illumination and 2.5 ml/100 l of water for a tank that is not as well lit. The supply of carbon dioxide must also be considered.
The above table shows recommended fertiliser concentrations according to the general conditions of the aquarium.
As actual precise consumption cannot be predicted, we recommend regularly checking the magnesium concentration with the JBL Mg Test Set, especially prior to each follow-up dose.

I bought it to keep Mg stable in the tank. But even when clearly overdosed, the Mg value doesn't change, or hardly. I'm talking about a 70 l tank with about 50 l net volume. (read more)

Keine Wirkung
Hab es gekauft um MG im Becken stabil zu halten. Aber auch deutlich überdosiert ändert sich der Mg Wert nicht oder kaum. Ich rede hier von einem 70l Becken mit ca. 50l Netto Inhalt.
Nicht zu empfehlen, da wirkungslos. GH Anstieg hab ich aber auch keinen messen können.
I actually only wanted to raise my Mg value, since I blend tap water with RO water... Unfortunately only the GH rose by about 3°, while the Mg value stayed unchanged... (read more)

Härtet leider nur auf
Wollte eigentlich nur meinen Mg-Wert erhöhen, da ich Leitungswasser mit Osmosewasser verschneide... Es stieg leider nur die GH um ca. 3°,der Mg-Wert blieb dagegen unverändert...werde daher auf Magnesiumsulfat umsteigen
