Description
The sterilizer ProCristal UV-C Compact plus by JBL ensures crystal clear and healthy water in freshwater and saltwater aquaria by quickly and effectively removing floating algae and bacteria. Furthermore, the UV-C radiation is germicidal and therefore lowers the risk of infections for any inhabitants of aquaria. In addition, sessile algae, such as thread algae, can also be reduced because their spores are largely killed off. However, the sterilizer has no negative effect on important purification bacteria in the filter and doesn't cause any change of water parameters. Due to the glass bulb being encased with a polished, reflective stainless steel foil, the efficiency is doubled.
The sterilizer has a safety switch. This means that the device switches off automatically as soon as it is opened. It is TÜV-approved, has a UV-resistant housing and an LED lamp that indicates the status of the UV-C tube.

Note
In contrast to the previous model JBL ProCristal UV-C Compact, the function control lamp is now mounted on the flat side of the electrical unit. In addition, the microswitch for automatic shutdown of the burner has been changed to a magnetic safety switch. Thus the electrical units of the former Compact models don't fit to the Compact plus models.

In itself a very good UV-C clarifier. Green water was gone in 3 days. The big drawback is the hose barbs. They were leaking and I had mounted them correctly. (read more)

Wenn die Schlauchtüllen nicht wären....
An sich ein sehr guter UVC-Klärer. Schwebealgen waren in 3 Tagen verschwunden. Das große Manko sind die Schlauchtüllen. Die waren undicht und ich habe die richtig montiert. Das ist ein ganz großes Theater, wenn man alles zusammen hat und es tropft leicht. Man muss wieder alles demontieren. Filter ständig ein/aus, aufpassen dass die Schläuche aus dem Wasser sind (sonst läuft es nach), um danach alles wieder zusammenzubauen, um zu sehen das es immernoch tropft. Habe mir andere Tüllen aus dem Baumarkt besorgt und es war von Anfang an dicht. Da sollte JBL unbedingt nachbessern.

Nicht kompakt
Die Lieferung kam wie immer bei Aquasabi gut verpackt und schnell, danke dafür!
Leider gibt es nicht wirklich für Nanobecken geeignete/angepasste UVC-Klärer, dieser hier kommt mit dem Beinamen „kompakt“ ... und hat immerhin nur 5W. Ich war mir der Maße vor dem Kauf schon bewusst, aber von kompakt kann hier nicht die Rede sein. Ein in meinen Augen riesiges Gehäuse mit ausladenden Schlauchanschlüssen beherbergt eine kleine 5W-Quecksilberdampflampe („Brenner“), welche auch noch zur Hälfte im inneren Glaskolben verschwindet. So ragt etwa nur die Hälfte der Lampe in die Wassersäule. Der Schlauchanschluss geht bei 12mm los, blöd, wenn man einen 10mm Filterauslass hat. Der Adapter nimmt halt auch wieder Platz. Die PVC-Verschraubung am Ein und Auslass hat übrigens 1 1/2 Zoll und nicht wie in der Beschreibung von Aquasabi 1 1/4.
Der „Brenner“ kam bei meinem Exemplar defekt an, so dass ich zum örtlichen Händler musste, der zum Glück für 11,50€ Ersatz hatte.
Der Klärer wird sicher seinen Dienst tun, aber für beengte Platzverhältnisse ist das nichts. Ist die Auswahl an Außenfiltern für Nanobecken eher begrenzt, ist diese im Bereich UVC schlicht nicht vorhanden, von in meinen Augen wirkungslosen UVA/violetten LED mal abgesehen.
