Description
The Scaper's Flow by Dennerle is a hang-on external filter for freshwater aquariums, which can be mounted directly onto the aquarium glass using the supplied brackets. Alternatively, the filter can be placed next to the aquarium, provided the maximum delivery head of 60 centimetres is not exceeded. The system comes fully equipped with all required filter media and is ready for immediate use. Especially in smaller tanks, this external solution offers a space-saving alternative to conventional internal filters.
With a flow rate of 450 litres per hour, the filter ensures consistent water circulation. The integrated 2-litre filter volume includes multiple stages: a pre-filter sponge, a fine filter pad with activated carbon, and bio-filter rings provide a combination of mechanical, chemical and biological filtration.
The swivelling and height-adjustable lily pipe enables precise flow direction within the aquarium. Depending on the configuration, either low surface movement can be achieved to reduce CO2 loss, or oxygen input can be increased.
Impact of the possible Lily Pipe's height adjustments
The intake pipe is fitted with a sponge that helps prevent small animals from being drawn in. For maintenance, the entire unit can be easily removed and reinstalled.

I'd like to add something on the topic "it's loud". Mine was, right after the first startup it was impossible to miss and made irregular "slapping noises". (read more)

Absolut empfehlenswert
I chose the Scaper´s Flow in black because it has a higher flow rate than the white one. I'm using it on a 60l cube. (read more)

First of all: I'm using the filter as an external filter. So my review refers to my experience with this setup. My filter sits in the aquarium cabinet under a nano cube. (read more)
