Description
The Aquasabi Vortex Skimmer ensures a clear water surface. The fast rotating crown reliably removes surface scum. The skimmer is handcrafted with great attention to detail and made of high-quality glass, thus each skimmer is unique.
The crown as well as the unit for adjusting the ratio between surface extraction and suction in the lower area are made of highly transparent and durable acrylic glass.

Cleaning and Maintenance
When algae start to spread on the glassware, it is time to clean it. Cleaning is not difficult, but it should be done conscientiously. Afterwards, the glassware will shine like new again.
- Household chlorine cleaner (hygienic cleaner) without fragrances is needed. When working with chlorine bleach, be sure to observe the manufacturer's precautions.
- Put some of the chlorine cleaner into a container and mix it with 50% water. There should be enough of the solution to completely immerse the glassware in it.
- Leave the glassware to soak in the solution for 1-4 hours (depending on how dirty it is).
- Take the glassware out and rinse thoroughly
- Now all dirt should be removed and the glassware should shine again.

Thanks to the rotating float, even a thick biofilm doesn't stand a chance. You regulate the rotation speed with the flow regulator at the bottom end. But be careful! (read more)

durchdachtes Rotierstück
Durch den rotierenden Schwimmer hat auch stärkere Kahmhaut keine Chance. Drehgeschwindigkeit reguliert man mit Durchflussregler am unteren Ende.
Aber Achtung! Mit Einbau von Diffusor und UV-Lampe verlangsamt sich Durchflussgeschwindigkeit nochmals. Man muss dann unten schließen, um leichte Drehung oben zu erhalten.
Ansonsten prima Erfindung und lohnenswert.

In Ordnung, Filter zu wenig Leistung
Der Skimmer macht seine Arbeit sehr gut, wenn er an einem starken Filter angeschlossen ist.
Ich habe ihn an meinem Eheim Vivaline 180 mit dem Filter Oase Biomaster 600 Thermo ausprobiert, nach ein paar Tagen habe ich bemerkt das immer mehr Schwebestoffe in meinem Aquarium herum geschwommen sind und die Filterleistung nachließ.
