The Aquatic Plant Set 60 Litres Colourful Medium No. 10 was specially designed for medium-sized aquariums and combines contrasting colours with different growth forms to create a vibrant aquascape. The included plants are ideal for arranging the foreground, midground and background, while the combination of red and green shades creates a varied overall appearance. The set includes Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Rotala indica, Ludwigia palustris "Super Red", Hydrocotyle tripartita, Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" and Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red". The combination of compact carpeting plants, bushy stem plants and decorative rosette plants creates a harmonious yet colour-intensive layout.
This set is aimed at aquarists who already have some experience in aquarium keeping. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular nutrient supply and stable water parameters.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' is a compact red stem plant with intensely coloured leaves and dense growth. It is perfectly suited for the midground and develops strong red and burgundy shades under good lighting conditions. Regular trimming encourages bushy growth and compact cushions.
Rotala indica impresses with its delicate, fine leaves and dense upright growth. Under good lighting, the plant develops attractive orange to reddish shades and adds a sense of lightness to the layout. It is particularly well suited for the midground to background and can easily be shaped through trimming.
Ludwigia palustris "Super Red" is one of the most intensely red aquarium plants and creates striking colour accents in the aquarium. Its narrow leaves develop a vivid red colour under suitable conditions and provide impressive contrasts to green plants. It grows upright and is perfectly suited for the background.
Hydrocotyle tripartita is a low-growing creeping plant with small clover-shaped leaves. It is ideal for the foreground and midground, where it forms dense carpets or loose cushions. Thanks to its rapid growth, it also helps to support the biological balance within the aquarium.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' is a very fine grass-like carpeting plant for natural-looking layouts. Over time, the short and slender blades form a dense lawn in the foreground. With sufficient lighting and CO2 supplementation, the plant develops particularly compact growth.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" is a robust rosette plant with brown to olive-coloured leaves and a slightly wavy structure. It is perfectly suited for the midground and adapts well to different water parameters. Due to its slow to medium growth rate, it remains stable in shape and easy to care for over a long period.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" develops narrow leaves with an intense red colouration and elegant upright growth. Under good lighting and CO2 conditions, the plant displays particularly strong colours and dense shoot tips. It is ideal as a colourful focal point in the background. The result is a colour-intensive plant set with varied structures and harmonious transitions, specially tailored for 60-litre aquariums.
