The Aquarium Plant Set 60 Litre Colourful Medium No. 08 has been put together for colour-intensive and high-contrast aquascapes in aquariums up to 60 litres. The combination of red stem plants, finely structured foreground plants and striking epiphyte plants allows for varied layouts with a strong sense of depth. The set includes Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini', Rotala indica, Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3"), Hygrophila pinnatifida, Hemianthus glomeratus, Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') and Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red". The different growth forms and colour nuances create a lively and modern appearance in the aquarium.
This set is aimed at people who already have some experience in aquarium keeping. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2-3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water values.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' is a compact red stem plant with intense colouration and dense growth. It is particularly suitable for the midground and develops strong red and burgundy tones under good lighting. Regular trimming keeps it low and bushy.
Rotala indica forms fine, slightly overhanging shoots with small, rounded leaves. Under good conditions, it shows attractive orange to reddish tones. The plant grows relatively quickly and is highly suitable for creating dense plant bushes.
Micranthemum tweediei ("Montecarlo-3") is a popular foreground plant with creeping growth and small fresh green leaves. With sufficient lighting, it forms dense carpets and creates a natural impression in the aquarium. With CO2, it develops particularly compact growth.
Hygrophila pinnatifida is characterised by its unusually lobed leaves and olive-brown to reddish colouration. The plant can be cultivated both in the substrate and attached to hardscape. Its horizontal growth form creates interesting structures in the midground.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a delicate stem plant with fine light green shoots. It grows quickly and is ideal for creating loose background groups with a natural effect. Regular trimming produces dense and compact plant cushions.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a very small epiphyte plant with dark green, firm leaves. It is perfect for attaching to roots or stones and requires only little care. Thanks to its slow growth, it remains permanently compact and decorative.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" develops intense red tones under good conditions, with slender upright growth. The plant brings strong colour accents to the background of the aquarium and forms dense groups. With sufficient light and CO2, it shows particularly strong red colouration.
