Description
The Aquarium Plant Set for 30-litre aquariums combines six selected aquatic plants to create a harmonious overall appearance with varied leaf shapes and colour contrasts. The set includes Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, Bacopa monnieri 'Compact', Cryptocoryne x willisii "nevillii", Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini', Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" and Alternanthera reineckii "Kleines Papageienblatt". The combination of green foreground plants, compact stem plants and colourful accents enables a natural-looking layout with a sense of depth. The reddish tones of the Alternanthera in particular create lively contrasts between the different shades of green.
This set is intended for aquarists who already have some experience. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis forms fine, grass-like runners and is ideal as a dense foreground lawn. Under good conditions, the plant grows low and compact, creating a natural meadow-like character in the aquarium. Regular trimming encourages dense and even growth.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' is a slow to medium-fast growing stem plant with a particularly compact growth habit. Its small, rounded leaves create a compact structure in the midground. Under good lighting, it develops strong and bushy growth.
Cryptocoryne x willisii "nevillii" impresses with its narrow green leaves and high adaptability. This robust rosette plant is ideal for the foreground to midground of small aquariums. It grows slowly and steadily and also copes well with fluctuating conditions.
Lobelia cardinalis 'Mini' is a compact variety of the popular cardinal plant with small, rounded leaves. The plant grows low and is ideal for the foreground and midground. Regular trimming creates dense and decorative plant groups.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is a decorative epiphytic plant with strong green leaves and compact growth. It is ideal for attaching to stones or roots, where it develops attractive cushions over time. This slow-growing plant prefers stable conditions and looks particularly elegant in nature aquariums.
Alternanthera reineckii "Kleines Papageienblatt" brings intense red and pink tones into the aquarium and creates strong colour accents. The plant requires good lighting conditions and benefits noticeably from CO2 supplementation and regular fertilisation. With trimming, it grows bushier and is ideal as an eye-catcher in the midground. The result is a varied planted aquarium with a natural sense of depth, contrasting colours and harmonious structure.
