Description
The Aquarium Plant Set - 30 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 08 was specially developed for smaller aquariums to create a harmonious, natural underwater landscape with easy-care and robust species. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green", Eleocharis acicularis, Cryptocoryne beckettii "Petchii", Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' as well as Rotala rotundifolia. This combination offers different growth heights and leaf shapes, creating a balanced, stable planted scape that conveys a fresh, green atmosphere.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small-growing variety with very compact growth and firm, dark green leaves. It grows slowly and should be tied onto roots or stones, as the rhizome must not be planted in the substrate. Thanks to its robustness and decorative appearance it is ideal for hardscape details in the midground.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is an attractive epiphyte with narrow, intensely green leaves. It grows slowly, forms dense clumps and can be cultivated on both stones and wood. The plant thrives under medium lighting and creates a natural, lively midground.
Eleocharis acicularis is a classic foreground plant with fine, grass-like blades. It forms dense lawns via runners, which can be trimmed regularly to stay compact. This species is adaptable, grows quickly and brings dynamism to the design.
Cryptocoryne beckettii "Petchii" is characterized by its slightly wavy, reddish-brown leaves. It grows at a moderate pace and prefers medium light conditions and a nutrient-rich substrate. With its color contrast it creates depth and structure in the midground.
Rotala rotundifolia is a popular stem plant with rounded leaves that vary from green to red depending on the light intensity. It grows upright, produces many side shoots and can be shaped into a dense, bushy form with regular trimming. With its appearance it gives the background dynamism and color accents.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' is a compact variety of the well-known water hyssop with dense, bushy growth. It has rounded, lush green leaves and is ideal for the midground to background. Its upright, vigorous growth brings structure to the layout and creates harmonious transitions between plant groups. The result is a balanced, easy-care plant set that, with its combination of robust species and harmonious colors, creates a lively, natural overall look in the aquarium.
