The Aquarium Plant Set 30 Litre Colourful Medium No. 09 combines various forms, leaf structures and intense colour contrasts for a lively aquascape in smaller aquariums. The set includes Hydrocotyle tripartita, Eleocharis sp. 'Mini', Bacopa monnieri 'Compact', Staurogyne repens, Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" and Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red". The combination of fresh green tones and strong red accents creates a harmonious yet dynamic overall appearance. Different growth forms create depth and structure in the aquarium and allow for varied layouts.
This set is intended for aquarists who already have some experience. The selected plants require medium lighting, CO2 levels of 20 to 30 mg/l and fertilisation 2–3 times per week. The plants benefit from a regular supply of nutrients and stable water parameters.
Hydrocotyle tripartita is a versatile stem plant with small, clover-like leaves and creeping growth. It is ideal for the foreground or as a transition to the midground and forms dense cushions with regular trimming. Under good conditions, it grows quickly and brings lively green accents to the aquarium.
Eleocharis sp. 'Mini' is a very low-growing grass species that forms compact lawn-like carpets in the foreground. The fine blades create a natural impression and give the layout depth. With sufficient lighting and CO2, the plant develops dense and even growth.
Bacopa monnieri 'Compact' is a slow to medium-fast growing stem plant with a compact structure and strong green leaves. It remains significantly lower than the normal Bacopa monnieri and is therefore ideal for the midground of small aquariums. Its bushy growth creates calm and structured plant groups.
Staurogyne repens is a robust foreground to midground plant with strong green leaves and a compact growth form. It grows creeping and branches strongly, allowing dense plant carpets to form quickly. The plant is easy to care for and is excellent for creating natural transitions in the layout.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" is an attractive epiphytic plant with decorative green leaves and slow growth. It can be attached to stones or roots, where it develops dense clusters over time. Thanks to its special leaf structure, it is ideal as a calm focal point in the midground.
Rotala rotundifolia "Singapore Blood Red" brings intense red colour accents to the aquarium and forms fine, elegant stem groups. Under good lighting, the plant develops its strong red colouration particularly intensively. It is ideal for the background, where it creates strong contrasts with the green plants in the set. The result is a varied, colourful planted aquarium with a natural sense of depth and harmonious structure.
