The Aquarium Plant Set - 250 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 02 was put together especially for balanced, green planted aquariums of around 250 liters. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') - Pot, Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" - Pot, Hemianthus glomeratus - Pot, Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" - Pot, Limnophila sessiliflora - Pot, Hydrocotyle leucocephala - Pot and Hygrophila polysperma - Pot as well as Aegagropila linnaei. The selection combines robust species with different growth habits for the foreground, midground and background. The moss balls complete the set as living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing extensive prior knowledge of aquatics and plant care. The selected plants need low light, no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, do not place high demands on water parameters, and are forgiving of care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') has recently also come onto the market as 'Mini Mini'. This selection of the dwarf anubias looks very similar to 'Petite', but under the same conditions its ovate leaves stay slightly smaller. This miniature Anubias shares the undemanding nature and robustness of the much larger parent form and is ideally suited for the hardscape of nano aquariums.
Bucephalandra sp. "Theia Green" originally comes from the island of Borneo. It forms a heavily branched rhizome with elongated elliptical leaves and develops most beautifully under medium lighting with a stable supply of CO2 and nutrients. It grows slowly and is ideal for tying onto stone or wood in the midground.
Hemianthus glomeratus is a dainty stem plant from Florida. With its small, light green, curved leaves, it looks very pretty in dense groups. Under high light intensity, it partly grows creeping and can be used as a foreground or midground plant.
Cryptocoryne wendtii "brown" is a brown variety of the easy-to-cultivate Cryptocoryne wendtii. Underwater, it develops lanceolate leaves with wavy edges in brown tones. Thanks to its adaptability and steady growth, it is a reliable choice for the midground.
Limnophila sessiliflora is a classic among aquarium plants. This fine-leaved, light green species grows very quickly and has only modest requirements, tolerating soft to hard water and a pH value of up to 8. It is particularly suitable for the initial planting of an aquarium and forms dense, light-colored groups in the background.
Hydrocotyle leucocephala originates from tropical America and has long been a popular aquarium plant. It forms upright or floating, vine-like stems with roundish, light green leaves that set attractive accents. This undemanding plant grows well under medium lighting and its shoots create airy structures in the aquarium.
Hygrophila polysperma originates from tropical Asia and is one of the most undemanding aquarium plants. It grows under almost any conditions, forms shoots 25–40 cm tall and is ideally suited for beginners. Thanks to its fast growth, it absorbs excess nutrients and helps stabilize the balance in the aquarium.
Aegagropila linnaei (moss ball) serves as a decorative addition that can be placed freely in the aquarium. The set brings together harmoniously growing, easy-to-care-for aquatic plants that together create a balanced and permanently stable aquarium picture.
