The Aquarium Plant Set - 120 Liters - Green - Easy - No. 03 was specially developed for medium-sized aquariums to create a balanced, natural underwater landscape with robust and easy-care species. The set includes Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini'), Cryptocoryne wendtii 'brown', Cryptocoryne beckettii 'Petchii', Limnophila sessiliflora, Hygrophila polysperma, Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae as well as Aegagropila linnaei. This combination provides different growth heights, colors and structures, creating a harmonious, stable planted scape that gives any aquarium a natural, green atmosphere. The moss balls complete the set as a living decoration.
This set is designed to let you set up an aquarium without needing much prior knowledge of aquarium keeping or plant care. The selected plants need only low light and no CO2, and weekly fertilization is sufficient. All plants are robust and easy to care for, have no high demands on water parameters and forgive care mistakes.
Anubias barteri var. nana 'Bonsai' ('Mini Mini') is a particularly small, compact variety of the well-known Anubias barteri. It forms firm, dark green leaves and stays very low at just a few centimeters tall. The plant is exceptionally robust, slow-growing and ideal for attaching to roots or stones in the foreground or midground.
Cryptocoryne wendtii 'brown' shows rich brown, slightly wavy leaves and grows as a compact rosette. It prefers low to medium lighting and also thrives in harder water. This species is easy to care for and ideally suited for the midground.
Cryptocoryne beckettii 'Petchii' has narrow, lanceolate leaves with a reddish-brown upper side and a lighter underside. The plant stays relatively low and grows slowly, so it also looks great in smaller aquariums. This species is extremely robust, adaptable and grows reliably even under changing conditions.
Limnophila sessiliflora impresses with delicate, light green leaves and fast growth. It tolerates soft to hard water and, thanks to its rapid growth, acts as an effective nutrient consumer that prevents algae formation. Planted in the background, it brings lightness and dynamism to the layout.
Hygrophila polysperma is a classic beginner plant with fast growth and an adaptable nature. It grows in almost any water, removes excess nutrients from the aquarium and thus contributes to stable conditions. Regular trimming promotes dense, bushy shoots and a fresh, light green coloration.
Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae forms long, narrow, hammered leaves that sway gently in the current. It prefers medium lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate. This species is robust and ideal for structuring the background of larger aquariums.
Aegagropila linnaei, the well-known moss ball, serves as a natural decoration and supports the biological balance in the aquarium. It can be placed freely and adds a lively, natural accent. The result is an easy-care, harmonious planted aquarium with lush green that impresses with its natural look.
